Gluten-Free Oatmeal Chip Bars image

With two busy boys who would rather move around than sit and eat, I needed a gluten-free, hearty, hand-held treat that could double as a quick breakfast, brunch, lunch or snack. This is a favorite of theirs, and I can change it up to accommodate ingredients I have on hand. -Susan James, Cokato, Minnesota

I followed the recipe exactly, but my bars turned out dry and crumbly. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

These bars are a bit too sweet for my taste, but they're still pretty good. I might try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I'm not usually a fan of oatmeal chip bars, but these ones are really good. The chocolate chips add a nice sweetness, and the oats give the bars a chewy texture.
