Green Bean Supreme image

I have been using this recipe for ages. I found it in the newspaper years ago and I like to make it when I have company as a side dish with whatever else I happen to be making, i.e. steak, chicken or chops. If you're a garlic lover, then just crush the cloves into the beans rather than leaving them whole.

This recipe is a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. The green beans are hidden in the sauce, so they don't even realize they're eating them.

The green beans were a little mushy for my taste, but the sauce was delicious. I will try cooking the green beans for a shorter amount of time next time.

I followed the recipe exactly and the green beans turned out great. The sauce was a little too thick for my taste, so I added a little bit of milk to thin it out.
