Grilled Apple and Swiss Cheese Sandwhich image

A quick and healthy sandwich for lunch or snacks. Recipe from Allrecipes.

2 slice whole wheat bread
1 1/2 tsp butter
1/2 granny smith apple - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/3 c swiss cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • 1. Prehead a skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush one side of each slice of bread with the butter. Place 1 slice of bread, butter side down, into the skillet.
  • 2. Arrange apple slices evenly over the top of the bread. Sprinkle the Swiss cheese over the apple, then top with the remaining slice of bread - butter side up.
  • 3. Cook until the bread is golden brown; then flip the sandwich over and cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
