Grilled Cuban Sandwich image

1 6 inch sub bun
1 slice cooked pork tenderloin sliced thin
2 slice deli ham
2 Tbsp dijon mustard
2 slice swiss cheese
4 pickles
2 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Open the sub bun. Spread the mustard on both sides. Add a thin slice of cooked pork, then add the ham , then two slices of cheese. Top with pickles. Place the top bun on and melt the butter in a skillet.
  • 2. Once butter is melted Place the sub in the skillet. Place a heavy pan on top of the sub to push down. A cast iron pan works well for this. Cook about 4 minutes. Check to see how brown the sub is. If it is browned nicely turn over and place the pan on top and repeat process.
  • 3. Serve
