This is a pure and simple comfort food without any pretense. When the sports seasons took over, my mum had to resort to easy calories to get our large family through each night. This one wins with kids of all ages, and is ultimately a decent base recipe for comfort food experimentation.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my pot pie turned out really runny. I think I might have added too much milk.

The crust on this pot pie was a bit too thick for my liking. I would probably use a different recipe for the crust next time.

This pot pie was a bit bland for my taste. I think I would add more seasonings next time.

I love this recipe! It's so versatile and I can use whatever vegetables I have on hand. I also like that I can make it ahead of time and just pop it in the oven when I'm ready to eat.

This was a quick and easy weeknight meal. I used ground turkey instead of beef and it turned out great. The whole family loved it and there were no leftovers.

I'm not a big fan of pot pies, but this one was really good! The crust was crispy and the filling was creamy and flavorful. I especially liked the addition of the peas and carrots.
