Hippy Chicken image

This recipe is great. Last year a dear friend of mine got married. She was a young bride so all the elder woman of the church gathered together to make her a recipe book. We all donated recipes for her cookbook. This is one of the recipes submitted for the cookbook.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 lb chicken breast (4 large ones)
1/2 jar(s) apricot/pineapple jam
1 bottle russian dressing
1 box dry onion soup mix (2 packets)
1 Tbsp garlic (minced)
rice (cooked)
salt/pepper to taste or any other spices you wish

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. Lightly season chicken. Place chicken in a 13x 9 casserole dish.
  • 3. In a bowl, mix jam, dressing, soup mix and garlic. Pour over chicken.
  • 4. Bake for 1 hour. Serve over rice.
