Hot Hominy Casserole Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 (15.5-ounce) cans yellow or white hominy, drained
1 (4-ounce) can green chilies
1/2 cup grated onion
1 (8-ounce) carton low-fat sour cream
1 1/2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
6 bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients, except cheese, and spoon into a lightly greased 8-inch square casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
