Number Of Ingredients 15

1 lb ground lamb or beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2-inch piece of ginger, grated
2 green chillies, chopped (use more or less depending on your taste)
1 cup frozen peas
1 medium tomato chopped
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp garam masala
1/4 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper powder
salt and black pepper to taste
2-3 tbsp chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • 1. Fry the onion, garlic, ginger, and chillies in 1 tbsp oil until the mixture starts to turn golden. 2. Add the spices and mix well. 3. Add the meat and cook until it is no longer pink. 4. Add the tomato and any juices. Cook for 2 minutes to break down the tomato. 5. Add the peas and lemon juice. Turn the temperature down and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often. 6. Fold in the cilantro and serve.
