Madonna Salad image

I have NO IDEA where the name of this salad came from....all I know is that we really like it!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg (3 oz,) apricot jello
3/4 c sugar
1 can(s) (sm) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 jar(s) (lge.) apricot-tapioca baby food
1 (8 oz.) ctn. cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Mix Jello,(with liquid listed on box) sugar, and pineapple together in a saucepan, and bring to a boil; mix well.
  • 2. Remove from heat to cool. Cool until beginning to thicken.
  • 3. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese with baby food. Combine with the cooled Jello mixture.
  • 4. Fold in Cool Whip.
  • 5. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
