Number Of Ingredients 13

2 pkgs manicotti noodles
1 lbs ground beef
1/2 lb mild Italian sausage
1/2 medium white onion diced
1 clove garlic minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 small 16 oz small curd 4% cottage cheese (crazy, I know)
3/4 cup real mayonnaise (even crazier, I know)
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Italian cheese blend pre-shredded from KRAFT.
2 large jars of your favorite red sauce (I think the Classico Vodka Sauce works best)

Steps:

  • In fry pan, saute Onions, Garlic in 1 tbls olive oil. When translucent, add Italian sausage. After about 4 minutes add the ground beef. Cook all together until meet is done. Drain the meat and put in large bowl. Cook Manicotti noodle until al dente. Add rest of ingredients to the meat mixture ( except for the sauce and some cheese to top.). Then stuff the noodles with the meat/cheese mixture. Lay bottom of 9X13 with some sauce and start placing the noodles down in the pan. Top and cover all noodles with sauce and cheese. Cook at 325 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

This manicotti was a disappointment. The filling was dry and the pasta was tough. I won't be making this recipe again.

I thought this recipe was just okay. The filling was bland and the sauce was too acidic. I wouldn't make it again.

This recipe was a disaster. The filling was too runny and the pasta was overcooked. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

I've made this manicotti several times now and it's always a crowd-pleaser. The filling is rich and creamy, and the pasta is cooked perfectly. I love that I can make it ahead of time and it reheats well.

This recipe is a bit time-consuming, but it's worth the effort. The manicotti turned out beautifully and the flavor was amazing. I'll definitely be making this again for special occasions.

I've tried many manicotti recipes over the years, but this one easily takes the cake. The combination of ricotta, spinach, and mozzarella is simply divine, and the sauce is rich and flavorful without being overpowering. I highly recommend this recipe
