Manly Meat Loving Meatloaf image

My family loves meatloaf and we enjoy it often. I invented this recipe to make my meat loving guys happy and it was a hit! This would be a great potluck recipe also. Just carry in crockpot to keep warm.

Time 4h20m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 lb very lean ground beef
1 lb lean ground pork
3 or 4 large smoked sausage
11/2 c bread crumbs, fresh
1 medium finely chopped onion
1 medium bell pepper finely chopped
1 pkg meatloaf seasoning
1/2 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 can(s) 15 oz. tomato sauce
dash(es) spices as desired and the ingredients listed in step one below.
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • 1. Also add worcestershire sauce, fresh garlic, black pepper and knorr tomato bouillon with chicken flavor to the tomato sauce in the last step, amounts as desired.
  • 2. Mix all ingredients except sausage and 'kicked up tomato sauce'.
  • 3. Form a rectangle with half the meat mixture on a flat pan. Arrange sausage on top and complete the meatloaf by adding and pressing the rest of the meat mixture over the sausage links.
