Steps:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring syrup to a boil and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat.Stir in butter or margarine until melted. Stir in nuts, 1/3 cup cream and vanilla until well blended. For a thinner topping, add additional cream. Cool. Cover and refrigerate. Stir before serving. Serve over ice cream, cake or waffles.
