Mini Italian Meatloaves image

I lightened this recipe up by using ground turkey instead of ground beef. It was a hit in our home!

Number Of Ingredients 12

12 cupcake liners
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 c milk
1/4 c marinara sauce
1/2 c quick cooking oats
1 1/3 c itaian bread crumbs
1/2 Tbsp italian seasoning
2 clove garlic, minced
1 lb ground turkey
12 cubes of mozzarella cheese
additional marinara sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line 12 count muffin tin with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, combine the beaten egg, milk, marinara sauce, uncooked quick cooking oats, ground turkey, Italian seasoning, garlic and bread crumbs.
  • 2. Divide mixture into twelve equal portions. Insert one cheese cube into center of meat and roll in hands to form the meat around the cheese into a ball. Place into muffin tin and continue with remaining meat and cheese.
  • 3. Top with a tablespoon (more or less depending on your preference) and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • 4. Bake uncovered on center oven rack for 25 minutes.
