MOM'S CORNBREAD DRESSING image

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 recipes of cornbread, no sugar!
1 recipe of biscuits, bisquick is fine
lots of chopped celery, 1 1/2 cups
lots of chopped onion, 1 1/2 cups
fresh sage to taste, about 4 leaves
lots of chicken broth (probably a quart) heated in the microwave with a stick of unsalted butter
4 beaten eggs
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • break up all the bread into small pieces add celery, sage and onion mix in the beaten eggs had the hot chicken broth/butter mixture until the bread mixture is very moist (it should be pretty hard to stir as it gets wet and solid) cook in a 400 degree oven until light brown on the top serve with turkey and gravy
