I love these ground turkey burgers! Serve on a bun with barbeque sauce, which is how I like it, or your desired toppings.

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound ground turkey
1 egg
½ (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Mix the ground turkey, egg, black beans, red bell pepper, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl until blended; form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat; cook the turkey patties in the skillet until cooked through and no longer pink the center, 7 to 10 minutes per side. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the center of a patty should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my burgers turned out dry and crumbly. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

I made these burgers with ground chicken instead of turkey and they were still delicious! I also added some chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the mixture.

I tried this recipe and it was a disaster! The burgers were dry and the cheese didn't melt. I don't recommend this recipe.

I'm not a big fan of turkey burgers, but these were really good! The mozzarella cheese made them moist and flavorful.

These turkey burgers were a hit! The mozzarella cheese was gooey and melted perfectly, and the burgers were cooked to perfection. I served them on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, and onion, and they were delicious.
