MUSHROOMS FLORENTINE image

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 tbs margarine
1 lb. medium size whole
mushrooms
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 - 10 oz. pkgs. frozen
chopped spinach, thawed
& drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
divided
garlic salt to taste

Steps:

  • Place 2 tbs margerine in large skillet. Cook mushrooms over medium heat until browned - browning cap side first. Melt remaining marg. in another skillet, add spinach, onion salt & 1/2 cup cheese. Arrange 10" casserole with mushrooms. Top with spinach mixture. Topwith garlic salt & remaining cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted & browned

I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms, but I really enjoyed this dish. The sauce was creamy and flavorful and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I would definitely make this again.
