THIS IS A FUNNY STORY...WELL I THINK IT'S FUNNY...I HAD TO MAKE SOME COOKIES FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHURCH. I DECIDED ON 3 DIFFERENT CAKE MIX COOKIES. FAST AND EASY CAUSE I ONLY HAD A FEW HRS TO GET THEM DONE. THESE WERE MY LAST TO MAKE. I OPENED THE CINNAMON AND WAS GOING TO SPRINKLE IN INSTEAD OF MEASURING AND ABOUT 1/8 CUP...

1 egg beaten
1/4 c water
1/2 c margarine, softened
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pkg yellow cake mix
2 c oatmeal, uncooked
1 c raisins
1/2 c chopped nuts, optional

Steps:

  • 1. BEAT FIRST 6 INGREDIENTS AND 1/2 THE CAKE MIX. STIR IN THE REMAINING CAKE MIX, OATMEAL, RAISINS AND NUTS. DROP BY ROUNDED TEASPOONFULS ONTO UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET. BAKE FOR 10-12 MINUTES IN A 375F OVEN.
