These delicious bars are a family recipe. They are a great combination of chocolate and peanut butter - and the best part is, they use ingredients you usually have on hand. Whenever we take them to parties, they vanish in a flash. To make cookies, drop the dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at same temperature.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat sugar, margarine or butter, peanut butter, vanilla and egg until creamy and well blended.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into greased 9-by-9-inch pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
