Yield 4-6 pork chops

Number Of Ingredients 10

4-6 Boneless pork chops
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 small onion, minced
2 crushed garlic cloves
Salt or Lawry's Seasoned Salt
Garlic Powder
Black Pepper
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup water

Steps:

  • Season the pork chops with salt, garlic powder and pepper. Melt butter over medium heat in a nonstick skillet. and when it is melted, add the oil Sear the pork Chops 3 at a time, cooking about 2 1/2 minutes on each side, not cooking fully, as they will get fully cooked later on. After you are done searing, and have removed all of the pork chops to a plate, add the onions and garlic to the pan and cook for three minutes. Add the white wine, and reduce by half. Add the water and pork chops, and lower the heat to low, and cover the pan. Cook for about 10-15 minutes on low heat, or until the chops are tender, being sure to not let anything get stuck to the bottom of the pan. Serve on a plate, you can add pasta if you want, but this dish is incredible by itself!

I'm not a big fan of white wine, so I used chicken broth instead. It turned out great!

This recipe is a great starting point, but I like to add my own twist to it. I usually add some mushrooms and onions to the sauce.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the sauce never thickened up. It was more like a thin gravy.

This recipe was way too salty for me. I had to cut back on the amount of salt I added to the sauce.

I followed the recipe exactly and the pork chops were overcooked. I think I'll try cooking them for less time next time.

This recipe was a bit bland for my taste. I added some extra garlic and herbs to the sauce and it helped a lot.

This recipe is simple but delicious. I used a Chardonnay and it gave the sauce a nice richness. I served it with rice and it was a perfect meal.
