Popover Pizza image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pound ground beef
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons Original Bisquick® Baking Mix, divided
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter or margarine
4 eggs
1/4 cup chopped green onions

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in a 10-inch skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, green pepper, 2 tablespoons Bisquick, parsley, and pepper. Heat to boiling. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Heat water and margarine to boiling in a 3-quart saucepan. Add 1 cup Bisquick all at once. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat. Beat in eggs, one at a time; continue beating until smooth. Spread over beef mixture. Sprinkle with onions. Bake in 400° oven for about 25-30 minutes, until puffy and golden brown. Serve immediately.
