Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1-1/2 c milk
1-1/4 c all purpose flour
4 eggs
1/2 stick butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place eggs in bowl, beat well, add flour and milk, stir with fork until just combine. Some lumps will remain. Brush the inside cups of the popover pan with the melted butter. (If you do not have a popover pan use a muffin tin.) Pour equal amounts of batter into each of the 6 popover cups - approximately 2/3 full. Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes until popovers are a medium dark brown. Remove from oven, using a sharp knife make a 1/2 inch slit in top of each popover to release the steam, return popovers to oven for 5 more minutes. This will allow them to crisp. Remove from oven and gently turn popover pan over to release the popovers from the pan. Serve hot with butter and honey.

These popovers were a bit too eggy for my taste, but they were still good.

I followed the recipe exactly and my popovers turned out perfectly! They were light and fluffy, with a crispy exterior. I will definitely be making these again.

These popovers were just okay. They were a little dry and didn't have much flavor.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my popovers turned out flat and dense. They were still edible, but they weren't very good.

These popovers were okay. They were a little dry, but they had a good flavor. I would probably try a different recipe next time.

I was disappointed with these popovers. They were dense and chewy, and they didn't have much flavor. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.
