This has such a great flavor. I always thought I made a pretty good meat loaf with ground beef, but this one is so much better. In fact, this is probably the only one I'll make from now on, it's that good. My husband says he likes it better also. And like me, he thought my regular meatloaf was pretty good too. This is very...

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 lb ground pork
1 box stove top stuffing mix (my favorite is traditional sage)
1 c whole milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c chopped onion
1 can(s) mushrooms (small can)
3/4 c spaghetti sauce
ketchup

Steps:

  • 1. Gather all ingredients and preheat oven to 400*. (this pic is only half the ingredients because I was only baking it for 2 of us)
  • 2. Mix pork, stuffing mix, milk, eggs, sauce, mushrooms, and onion all together, mixing well. I use my just washed hands. Place in a broiler pan sprayed with Pam or if you don't have one you can use a pizza pan and a foil lined jelly roll pan to catch the grease. Make sure to spray it as well. (see pic)
  • 3. Shape into loaf, not too tall coz it takes too long to bake. I cover mine on top completely with ketchup. You can do yours however you want. I think the ketchup just gives it a nicer flavor. Bake for 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Mine takes the longer one. You can also divide into 4 loaves. These probably take 40 - 45 minutes.
  • 4. Enjoy!

I found this recipe to be a little bland. I think it could use some more herbs and spices.

This pork loaf was a little dry for my taste, but the flavor was good. I think I'll try adding some more moisture to the mixture next time.
