Praline Pecan Crunch image

This is a recipe my stepmother made one Christmas, and it was hard to stop from nibbling on this fantastic treat. She used the Oat Squares, but says the Chex would work also...

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 c quaker oats squares or chex cereal
2 c pecan halves
1/4 c butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c praline mix
1/2 tsp baking soda

Steps:

  • 1. Stir together cereal and pecan halves and put into a 9x13. Melt butter, brown sugar, praline mix and baking soda. Heat to boiling, then simmer gently 2 min. Pour over cereal, stir and bake at 250 degrees 1 hour. Stir once during cooking. Spread to cool.
