Pretzel Salad image

Salty & sweet...the best of both worlds! I've made this dish for Christmas, teachers, and work parties and boy is it popular! It's the dessert you'll crave.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c crushed pretzels
3/4 c melted butter, unsalted
4 Tbsp white sugar
8 oz cream cheese
1 c white sugar
9 oz cool whip
6 oz strawberry jello
3/4 c boiling water
10 oz frozen, sliced strawberries

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400
  • 2. Mix crushed pretzels, butter & 4 T sugar in large bowl. Pat into 9 by 13 inch pan and bake for 8 minutes. Cool.
  • 3. Beat cream cheese & 1 cup sugar in large bowl until smooth. Fold cool whip into mixture. Spread into cooled pretzel crust.
  • 4. Prepare jello using 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir frozen strawberries into jello and immediately pour onto cream layer.
  • 5. Refridgerate 4 hours until set.
