Time 30m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in the remaining ingredients; mix until smooth.
  • Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
  • Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Stack the finished crepes by putting wax paper between each one. Keep covered with a dry cloth until ready to eat.

Really good when paired with sweet fillings like chocolate or fruit. Looking forward to finding a good crêpe recipe to pair with a more hearty filling.

I'm new to crêpe-making and this recipe was very beginner-friendly. Can't wait to try some more complicated recipes now that I have this base method.

Very impressed with the consistency of the batter. I used the crèpes to make a few different fillings and they all turned out perfectly.

Fantastic method for making the perfect crêpe texture, but I found the flavor a bit lacking. Perhaps some added sugar or a pinch of salt would bring it up a notch?

Not bad! I'm a seasoned crêpe-maker and these were a bit more delicate than I expected, but with a bit of practice I'm sure I'll master it.

Great results, but the instructions could be a bit more detailed for beginner chefs.

Fantastic recipe! The result was fluffy on the inside but crisp on the outside, just as described. A definite keeper.
