Roebuck's Russian Tea image

This Russian tea recipe come from the Roebuck family by way of my grandmother. It has been a holiday staple at family gatherings as long as I can remember. This is a recipe in the 'old Southern' tradition, where almost nothing is exact and you just make sure it 'tastes right.' The longer everything simmers, the better the flavor. Serve hot.

I'm not a big fan of cinnamon, so I left it out of the recipe. The tea was still delicious!

This tea is really good, but it's a bit too strong for my taste. I'll probably use half the amount of tea leaves next time.

I didn't have any cloves, so I used allspice instead. It turned out great!

This tea is a bit too sweet for me, but I think it would be perfect with less honey.

I love the combination of flavors in this tea. The lemon and honey add a nice sweetness, while the cinnamon and cloves give it a warm and spicy flavor.
