Steps:
- In a large skillet, saute onions in butter until tender. Add tomatoes, cook and stir over low heat until softened. Remove from the heat; cool. , Line unbaked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake at 450° for 5 minutes. Remove foil; bake 5 minutes longer. Reduce heat to 350°., In a bowl, beat the eggs, cream, salt, basil and pepper until smooth. Stir in the tomato mixture. Pour into pastry shell. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
