Ice cubes
1 ounce brandy
2/3 ounce (4 teaspoons) Triple Sec
1-1/2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice
GARNISH:
Lemon twist

Steps:

  • Fill a shaker three-fourths full with ice. Add the brandy, triple sec and lemon juice. Cover and shake for 15-20 seconds or , until condensation forms on outside of shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish as desired.

I'm not a huge fan of cognac, but I actually really enjoyed this Sidecar. The orange liqueur and lemon juice help to balance out the cognac's flavor, and the sugar rim adds a nice touch of sweetness.
