Silky Vanilla Butter Frosting image

This is not your usual butter-cream made with powdered sugar. Butter is beaten into a flour-thickened base to make an exquisitely light and creamy frosting. Not overly sweet like those made with powdered sugar, but sweet enough to be the perfect compliment for a cake. Make sure the base is completely cooled before beating in the butter. I added in 15 minutes cooling time, but it will vary depending on conditions.

I would not recommend this frosting recipe. It was difficult to make and the end result was not worth the effort.

This frosting is just okay. It's not as flavorful as I was hoping for, and it's a bit too thick. I probably won't make it again.

I had a hard time getting the frosting to the right consistency. It was either too thick or too thin. I finally got it right after a few tries, but it was a bit of a hassle.

This frosting is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it's still very good. I would recommend using less sugar if you prefer a less sweet frosting.
