Simple Caramel Flan image

Perfectly firm custard and decadently gooey caramel! We love that this recipe calls for a good bit of cinnamon, but you could easily cut back on the amount if you'd perfer a subtler flavor.

This flan is very rich, so a little goes a long way. I would recommend serving it with fresh fruit or berries to balance out the sweetness.

I had some trouble getting the flan to unmold cleanly. I think I might have overcooked it a bit. But even though it didn't look perfect, it still tasted delicious.

The caramel sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste, but the custard is perfect. I will definitely be making this again, but I will reduce the amount of sugar in the caramel sauce.
