Simple Golabki image

This is an extremely reductive version of the traditional Polish dish, Golabki or Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. This recipe was given to my mother by her Polish mother-in-law several years ago. Simple Golabki is tasty, easy, and quick.

This recipe is a great starting point for making golabki. I made a few changes to suit my own taste, such as using ground turkey instead of beef and adding some chopped mushrooms to the filling. They turned out great!

I followed the recipe exactly, but my golabki didn't turn out as well as I hoped. The cabbage leaves were tough and the filling was dry. I think I might have overcooked them.

The golabki were good, but I found the filling to be a bit bland. I added some extra spices and herbs to taste, and that helped a lot.
