Smoked Turkey and Blackeye Peas Crockpot recipe image

Our local meat market (Cason's in North Portland) has these glorious smoked turkey legs. Every time we go in there we try to think of what we can do with one of those things. Well, this is what I came up with and it's fantastic!

This recipe was a bit bland for my taste. I added some additional spices to the turkey and peas, and it turned out much better.

I'm not a big fan of black-eyed peas, but I loved this recipe. The turkey was so moist and flavorful, and the peas were cooked perfectly.

I've tried this recipe several times and I've never been able to get the turkey to come out moist. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
