Steps:
- *To infuse vodka take 1-2 Fresh jalapeño peppers (depending on how spicy the peppers are and how hot you want the drink to be) slice lengthwise and drop into a 1 Liter bottle of vodka. Allow to sit for 2-3 days. The longer the jalapeños sit in the vodka the spicier it will become. **For Simple Syrup: Take equal parts sugar and hot water, dissolve sugar into water stirring until all granules are gone. Take 3-4 large basil leaves for every cup of water, puree the basil in a blender or food processor (you may also use a juicer to "juice" the basil). Add pureed basil to chilled simple syrup and mix thoroughly. If you add the basil puree while the syrup is still warm the end product will turn brown. Build the cocktail in a rocks glass and top if off with OJ. Use the small piece of a mixing tin (shaker) to cover the glass and give 1-2 quick shakes. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf (slap the basil leaf between your palms to release the oils prior to adding to the cocktail).

[email protected]I'm not a big fan of screwdrivers, but this one was actually pretty good. The orange juice and grenadine added a nice sweetness that balanced out the vodka.
