Special Green Bean Casserole image

This recipe is just my "ramped up" version of traditional green bean casserole.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c milk
2-3 Tbsp onion and chive cream cheese
4 can(s) french cut green beans or 9 oz.frozen bags of beans
2-3 green onions finely chopped
4-6 bacon cooked and crumbled into bits
1 sm can(s) mushrooms, chopped
1 can(s) frenches fried onions
dash(es) italian herb blend or other dried herbs for additional flavor

Steps:

  • 1. in a large microwave safe mixing bowl combine soups, cream cheese and milk then microwave for a few minutes so you can easily stir. Add finely chopped onion & mushroom. Season with a dash of black pepper.
  • 2. Spray nostick coating in a casserole baking dish add green beans(drained if canned). Pour soup mixture over the beans and stir in 1/2 can of french onions & italian seasoning blend or herbs.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees until heated through approximately 30 minutes.
  • 4. Top casserole with remaining french fried onions and bacon bits then bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to crisp up.
