a recipe from 1956. Basic, easy spritz cookies. This dough is so easy to work with! Taken from a book from Wisconsin Electric Power Company Christmas, 1956. Divide the dough and color if wanted. Super easy and very yummy!

Steps:
- 1. Cream the butter very well. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract. Beat well. Stir flour and salt together in a separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture, a little at a time. Blend well.
- 2. Knead dough in hands until it is soft and pliable.
- 3. Press dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheets. (or use parchment paper) Decorate with colored sugar or small candies. You can also divide the dough and use food coloring paste to tint the dough itself.
- 4. Bake @ 400 degrees about 8 minutes. These cookies should not brown. They keep their color and look so pretty! Crispy, with a wonderful flavor!

[email protected]These cookies were okay. They were a bit too sweet for my taste and the texture was a bit crumbly. I probably won't make them again.

[email protected]I was so excited to try these cookies but they turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. The dough was too sticky and difficult to work with. The cookies also didn't spread out very much in the oven and they ended up being more like balls than cook

[email protected]These cookies were so easy to make and they tasted amazing. I used a cookie press to make them and they came out so evenly shaped. I will definitely be making these again.

[email protected]I made these cookies last night and they were a huge hit with my family. They're so buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I used a star-shaped cookie cutter and they came out so pretty. I will definitely be making these again soon.

[email protected]These spritz cookies are the best! They're so easy to make and they always turn out perfectly. I've made them for parties, potlucks, and even just for myself. They're always a hit. I love that you can customize them with different sprinkles or nuts.
