Strawberry Barbecue Sauce image

This tangy sauce adds a sweet kick to everything from grilled fruit skewers to chops, chicken, meatballs, and sausage. Use liberally for grilling or baking meats, fruits, or vegetables. Store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

⅓ cup strawberry jam
½ cup ketchup
3 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon liquid smoke
¼ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place the strawberries, strawberry jam, ketchup, green onion, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, crushed red pepper, liquid smoke, and salt in a blender or food processor; blend until smooth.
