Texas Peach Pecan Bread image

Texans are always finding ways to use pecans. There is nothing better than a recipe that uses our peaches and pecans.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2/3 tsp sal
2/3 c margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
2 large eggs
4 Tbsp sour cream
1 c fresh mashed peaches
1 c chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl, stir flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and sour cream: beat well.
  • 3. Add flour and peaches and mix. Add pecans and stir in well by hand.
  • 4. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Makes one large loaf. (Or, 2 small loaf pans)
