The Incredible, Edible Amish Haystack Dinner image

I just returned from a trip to an Amish community where this incredible dish was served as a fundraiser. Each woman is in charge of topping your haystack with whatever ingredients you choose as you move down the line. By the time you're done, your haystack is mile high! Easily adapted for family use. Sure to be a kid's favorite...

This dish was a little time-consuming to make, but it was definitely worth it. The haystack potatoes were the star of the show, and the mashed potatoes and hamburger gravy were also very good.
