Tomato Sandwiches image

8 slices white bread, toasted if desired
1/2 cup mayonnaise, divided
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Spread four slices of bread with half of the mayonnaise. Top with tomatoes; season with salt and pepper. Spread remaining mayonnaise over remaining bread; close sandwiches.
