Trace's Not-So-Sloppy Joes image

My husband makes the best Not-So-Sloppy-Joes EVER! When it's his night to cook, this is a favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lb ground turkey or beef
1+1/3 c ketchup
1/3 c water
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
6 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • 1. Brown meat over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • 2. Stir in ketchup, water, sugar, worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30-40 minutes.
  • 3. Serve on buns
