Venison Cheeseburger Pie image

Simplicity is the key point here. When you run out of Venison let your mind wander. I have always been the Camp Cook with our crowd and this is a must. Simple and very satisfying. You might even catagorize it as comfort food. Don't know where it came from except that my Dad showed me back about 1940.

This pie was a little too dry for my taste. I think I would add more liquid next time.

I'm not a big fan of pies, but this one was really good. The venison was flavorful and the cheese and bacon were a nice touch.

The crust on this pie was a little too thick for my liking. I think I would use a thinner crust next time.

This pie was a little too salty for my taste. I think I would use less salt next time.

I'm not a huge fan of venison, but this pie was actually really good. The cheese and bacon helped to balance out the gamey flavor of the venison.

This pie was easy to make and very delicious. I used ground beef instead of venison and it was still very good.
