A spread with the tastes of sushi. For ease, bottled wasabi sauce may be substituted for the powdered wasabi mixture. Ponzu could be substituted for the soy sauce or a combination of half-and-half soy/ponzu sauce.

The wasabi cream cheese filling was a little too spicy for my taste, but I still enjoyed these appetizers. The wonton wrappers were crispy and the cream cheese was creamy and flavorful.

I'm not usually a fan of wasabi, but this appetizer changed my mind. The cream cheese mellowed out the spiciness of the wasabi, and the wonton wrappers added a nice crunchy texture.
