I can't wait to try this recipe with different types of bread. I think it would be great with sourdough or rye bread.

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover bread. I always have a loaf of whole wheat bread in my freezer, so I can make this French toast whenever I want.

I was skeptical about using whole wheat bread for French toast, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. The bread was still light and fluffy, and the whole wheat flavor added a nice depth of flavor.
