Amarillo Chili Mac image

Need to feed an army? This recipe would be good for a Super Bowl crowd and kept warm in a crock pot. From Amarillo East Truck Stop, Travel Center of America, Amarillo, TX.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/2 lb raw elbow macaroni
1 1/4 lb ground beef
8 c chili, purchased or homemade
6 c stewed tomatoes
1/2 46-oz can(s) tomato juice
1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
1/2 tsp garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Cook the macaroni until tender.
  • 2. Brown the ground beef and drain off the excess grease.
  • 3. Heat the chili to 165°F.
  • 4. In a large pot combine the macaroni, ground beef, and all remaining ingredients together. Heat to 165°F and serve.
