Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 refrigerated pie crusts
1/2 c apple butter
1 egg white (for egg wash)
1-2 Tbsp decorator sugar crystals (turbinado sugar works also)
caramel ice cream sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Roll out one of the packaged pie crust doughs. Spread a thin layer of apple butter across pie crust. Leave about 1/8-1/4 inch all around the edge.
  • 3. Unroll second pie crust and place on top of apple butter. Press edges together very lightly.
  • 4. Make an egg wash with egg white and a little water. Brush on top crust, then sprinkle with decorator sugar crystals.
  • 5. Using a ravioli cutter or a pizza cutter, cut into strips that are about 3/4" wide x 3" long.
  • 6. Place on prepared pans and bake both pans for about 19-20 minutes or until firm and golden brown. (It may be slightly shorter baking time if baking only 1 pan at a time.)
  • 7. Drizzle with caramel ice cream sauce and enjoy!!

Overall, these were a good recipe. They were easy to make and tasted good. However, I think they would have been better if I had used a different type of pie crust.

These were a nice treat, but I think I would have preferred them with a different type of filling. The apple butter was a bit too tart for my taste.

These are the best apple butter pie sticks I've ever had! The filling is perfectly spiced and the crust is flaky and buttery. I can't wait to make them again.

I've made these pie sticks several times and they always turn out perfect. They're a great way to use up leftover apple butter.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but these turned out really bland. I followed the recipe exactly, but they just didn't have much flavor.

These were a bit too dry for my taste. I think I would add a little more butter to the pie crust next time.

These were easy to make and tasted delicious. The only thing I would change is to use less sugar in the filling. They were a little too sweet for my taste.

I'm not a huge fan of apple butter, but these pie sticks were amazing! The filling was sweet and gooey, and the pie crust was flaky and buttery. I will definitely be making these again.

I loved the simplicity of this recipe. I didn't have any apple butter on hand, so I used apple pie filling instead. It turned out great! The pie sticks were gooey and delicious.
