Apple-Ginger Scones image

Use a firm eating apple for this recipe. Braeburn, Gala, Granny Smith and Haralson are all good choices. Soft or excessively juicy apples will add too much moisture.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my scones didn't turn out at all like the picture. They were flat and dense, and they didn't have any rise.

I followed the recipe exactly and my scones turned out terrible. They were dense and gummy, and they didn't have any flavor.

These scones were a disappointment. They were dry and crumbly, and the apple and ginger flavors were barely noticeable.

I was a bit hesitant to try these scones because I'm not a big fan of ginger, but I'm so glad I did! The ginger flavor was subtle and not overpowering, and the scones were absolutely delicious.
