Apple Mince Walnut Pie image

I came up with this pie several years ago when I was making pies for Christmas and ended up with not quite enough filling for a whole pie. I added mincemeat and walnuts and it was a big hit. This pie is not as intense in flavor as a straight mincemeat pie and even people who are not a big fan of mince pies like it.

This pie is a great way to use up leftover apples. I had a few apples that were starting to go bad, and this pie was a great way to use them up. The pie was delicious and I didn't have to waste any food.

I used a pre-made pie crust to save time, and the pie still turned out great. I also added a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, which was the perfect finishing touch.

I'm not a fan of walnuts, so I omitted them from the recipe. The pie was still delicious, but I think the walnuts would have added a nice touch. Next time, I'll try adding a different kind of nut, like pecans or almonds.
