Ok, this is one of the EASIEST dinners I have made in a loooong time! I just was not in the mood to cook a big meal one night, as we have been getting ready for another "attempt" at a yard sale. Soooo, I threw this together in about 10 minutes and it was DELICIOUS! Kiddo had a second helping......WOO HOO!

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 box augratin potato mix
1 lb browned ground beef, sausage, or cooked diced, or shredded chicken
1 1/2 c vegetable(s) of your choice (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Assemble potatoes according to package directions for oven baking. Before you put potatoes in the oven, add your meat and vegetables, and stir gently. I used ground beef this time. I left the vegetables out of them in this one. (I know, I know....bad mommy!) lol
  • 2. Bake in 350*F oven till potatoes are tender; approximately 25 - 30 minutes.

I've made this au gratin casserole several times now, and it's always a hit. My family loves the cheesy potatoes and the crispy topping. It's the perfect comfort food for a cold night.

This was the best au gratin casserole I've ever had! The potatoes were perfectly cooked and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. I will definitely be making this again.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my au gratin casserole turned out watery and bland. I followed the recipe exactly, but it just didn't come out right. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

This recipe is a great base for au gratin casserole. I added some chopped bacon and mushrooms, and it was delicious! I'll definitely be making this again.

This was okay, but I've had better au gratin casseroles. The sauce was a little too thick and the potatoes were a bit undercooked. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

This recipe is a little time-consuming, but it's worth the effort. The au gratin casserole is so rich and flavorful. I especially love the addition of Gruyère cheese. It really takes the dish to the next level.

This au gratin casserole recipe is a keeper! It's so easy to make and it always turns out perfectly. The flavors are rich and cheesy, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. I love that I can make it ahead of time and then just pop it in the oven
