This is a mild soup that I love to make near Thanksgiving--it's easy to make, filling, but not heavy. It takes well to added spices. From the November 2000 issue of "Bon Appetit", it can be made one day ahead. I usually make an easy pasta sauce with leftover crushed tomatoes.

Overall, I thought this soup was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about either.

The soup was good, but it wasn't anything special. I've had better pumpkin bisque before.

I found this soup to be too sweet. I would have preferred a more savory flavor.

This soup is too thick for my taste. I had to add more liquid to make it edible.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my soup turned out bland. I followed the recipe exactly.

I've tried many pumpkin bisque recipes, but this one is by far the best. The addition of apple cider and cinnamon gives it a unique and delicious flavor.

This pumpkin bisque was a hit at our Thanksgiving dinner! It was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be making this again next year.
