Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well, add apples Combine dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Bake in greased 8 by 8 baking dish at for about 45 minutes.
- 2. Sauce: Heat butter, sugar and cream on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring until slightly thick, add vanilla. Serve over warm pudding.
- 3. I heat the sauce until hot and then set the timer for 15 minutes and stir constantly until the timer goes off. I also, spoon this all over the top of the warm pudding (it soaks in as it cools) and then wait for it to cool until warm to serve it. I think it taste the best at room temp. Cover loosely or it will stick to the cover. I refrigerate it (if it makes it there) but let it get room temperature before serving it.
